My back was still screwed from a few days ago, and these squats were killing me. Not the actual squat, but the initial lift off of the saw horses was unpleasant, to say the least. No real pain in the knees, but sometimes the noises are enough to turn my stomach.
Food choices were poor, water intake poor, mood poor, all combined for a rough session.
